Update... [Oct. 17th, 2008|08:36 am]

not where I want to be.... grrrr...  the loss is so incredibly slow...  I think snails in wheelchairs going up hill racing the molasses in a January blizzard might be quicker.

At the very least I am not gaining but remaining too stable for my liking.   Over the past two weeks I have been about 177.8 both weeks...  this morning after working out at the gym... 175.8.  1 lb average a week??  Gahhh... i need to rethink my points.  That has to be where all the extra is coming from.   Will do.  sooner rather than later.    I have until the halloween party to get back down to 170 ish.  That is my goal...    not going to happen but... I might make 172 by next weekend and that I could live with.   So i will shoot at 170 and be happy either way.  :)

today 192.4

down 1.4 lbs from last week

down 14.2 from my orginal starting weight of 206.6 (well, that was the weight the last time I looked at the scale and said "Oh CRAP"... at my heaviest I was 250)

tried on 3 pairs of size 12 pants from my off-season closet. All three went on my body without having to lay down on the bed to zip them. Only one was actually comfortable or flattering enough to wear in public.

the weight struggle continues...

but I had the double pleasure of buying at least one pair of size 12 slacks and a size smaller underwear than I had been wearing.

buckling down... again [Sep. 18th, 2008|02:06 pm]

I found myself face to face with a box of donuts last night. I ate two. Urh. I never should have bought them in the first place. I got mad at myself about it, threw them away...
And decided, not for the first time, that I have to get serious and actually TRY again.
A minor slip up of "I was at my grandma's birthday party and ended up having a bigger piece of cake than I should have" is one thing. Buying a dozen donuts for no reason except gluttony is off the deep end.

So... back on the wagon.
I am 197.6. I've been good ENOUGH over the last few months to not get back over 200. My Short term goal is 185 by New Years. That is 12.6 lbs in 15 weeks. Should be more than doable. Hell, they claim you can lose 30 lbs in that amount of time. But I'm taking into account the Holidays.

I am wondering if the last week of hormone induced binge eating will catch up to me on the NEXT weigh in, but it only seems to have tacked 0.4 lbs onto me for now.
loss to date: 13.2

seeking 185 by Labor Day. 8.4 lbs to go.

Rejoining WW Online [Jul. 10th, 2008|11:04 am]

I need the structure. This doing it on my own thing, not working so well, even through SparkPeople. I have a WW scale at home and paper journals for when I can't journal online. I AM going to do this.

Weight Goals: 200 by Labor Day/195 by my wedding Anniversary/155 by my 40th birthday (April 13) - It will be a total of 68.7# gone. ('Cause lost implies I want to find them again. NOT)

Fitness Goals: Complete Couch to 5K program by November, possibly walk in the Philadelphia Memory Walk November 1; yoga or swimming every other day - put that gym membership to use!

Nutrition Goals: Increase F&V consumption - include one vegetarian main meal a week and more green leafies; eliminate soda and artifically sweetened beverages by end of July; WATER!!!!!!

Rewards: 10# = Pedicure; 20# = Knitting Gear; 25# = Spa Treatment; 30# = Pedicure & a new outfit; 40# = Spinning Gear (fiber, not exercise); 50# = New hair style; 55# = Spa Treatment; 60# = complete outfit from Revival; Goal = 2 or 3 mundane outfits and a spa treatment

It's a plan. It's aggressive. I can do this. I DON'T want to be as unhappy with my photo with James Marsters *swoon* from Dragon*Con as I am with my graduate school graduation photos. Plus, I want to be comfy in my garb again.

[mood |determineddetermined]

My big run around on dieting:

I started at 206.6, got down to about 193 and slacked off for a few weeks (partly holiday travel, partly dental surgery, partly lazy and sick of dieting)
Went back up to 199.6 and got back on the wagon.
Been doing much better and eating LOTS of fruit and at least one large green-salad per day. That has resulted in me using less of my flex points every week.

I am now down to 194.4.
My long term goal is still in the 160-170 range.
My short term goal is 185 by Labor Day. 9.4 lbs in 7.5 weeks. Reasonable. Possible.
